Dave doesn’t understand credit cards or bitcoin, and that is worrying … he is wrong on things and proven so over long term. He’d never had bought Apple. Tech is proven, not all companies in it. He can’t see why chips are scarce and that tech is largely patented. That gives it qualities he ignores.

Dave has no idea what he’s talking about with bitcoin. Anyone that has done more than 10 hours of learning about bitcoin don’t go back. NOTE: I like Dave Ramsey. He’s great at getting people out of debt but horrible with understanding digital assets.

i am the guy dave worries about. should have paid off car, student loans, and more of house, but bought btc in 2021 and then lost too much to speculative nfts ... back to square one. very frustrating lol

Thanks Andrei, especially for trying to orange pill Dave! I could totally be missing it all here but IMO Mr.Ramsey is a product of his environment like Mr. Buffett.. He’s had the greatest period of paper wealth creation due to the monetary system being inherently inflationary.. The entire system due to this inflationary monetary and fiscal polices has created the monetization of damn near everything.. meaning all you had to do was continually buy assets, lean cash (debasing) and hold knowing the system itself has the support from the state and central banks to continue the asset inflation train.. One huge problem is that concept isn’t permanent (historically) and due to technology (Moore’s Law/exponential growth) being a driving deflationary force to the real economy and the monetary system makes that bet very speculative going forward.. He thinks, believes and speaks in absolutes due to this framework he’s been afforded only knowing what he knows.. Also- Speculation and value are all subjective. But the one constant is always change and to have the ability to speak in probabilities instead of absolutes puts my skeptic hat on whenever I listen to Dave.. cheers

Dave is not always right and there is more than one way to be financially successful. He has been criticised by gold bugs and now bitcoiners. I think people should invest in what they know and what they are good at.

If 15 years is short-term for Dave, I want to know what he considers long term. ;-) Every currency in history, long-term has come to an end...it will be interesting to see what the S&P would turn into if the dollar takes the historical route as well. Everything is speculation to some extent.

The price didn't go up by accident, its not that landlord suddenly becomes greedy the last few year. Oil producer didn't become greedy the last few years, walmart didn't become greedy suddenly, vehicle manufacturers also didn't become greedy suddenly. This is the direct consequences of printing too much money. Everyone loves free money, and this is the hangover after binging. Period.
